About

I work with retired gentlemen that want to make a positive change to their health and fitness.
As someone who went through a slow and steady weight gain, to losing it all and more within 18 months whilst becoming fitter than before, I have first-hand experience in the transformation process.
I know the frustrations of figuring out what is healthy to eat, how much of it to eat, trying to navigate eating and drinking socially, or techniques to incorporate around holidays so as not to overindulge.
The anxiety that can come with not knowing what to do, or how to do it, or how often to do it, and what will work best for you as an individual.
Now I would like to help you achieve positive change for yourself by taking all of the uncertainty away and giving you an actionable plan to put into practice from the very beginning. I will be there to support you in every aspect of your transformation, to give you advice on the smallest of details no matter how trivial they may seem. Get in touch today to find out what I can do for you by filling out the form below. Thank you.

Your Transformation Plan

3 Pronged Approach

I am here to provide you with all the tools you need to reach your goals. Your transformation plan will be designed so that you have meaningful and actionable takeaways throughout in bite-sized chunks, allowing you to get on with your life whilst making small positive changes. Accumulated small changes will create the desired end goal.

Your Transformation Plan

Measure. Track. Adjust.

The first stage of your transformation - we sit down together and go through your health and fitness history, to gauge where you are at the moment in relation to your end goal. From there I will gather some baseline data, which will be used throughout the transformation, to monitor if you are making the positive changes you seek. All metrics will be tracked in your personal data file which you will have access to. Where needed, adjustments to the plan will be made to ensure that progress is being maintained at an optimal rate. Routine check-ins and measurements will be used to measure progress.

Food, Drink, and Supplements

Energy. Balance. Enjoyment.

Change happens from within, and with health and fitness this has never been more true. As part of your plan I will go through your food, drink and supplement history, gather baseline data to measure against, and work with you to move toward the ideal nutritional set up to fuel your goal. Incremental changes to your diet and lifestyle will ensure that this process is not painful, but enjoyable and educational. You will come away knowing why you are making the changes and what benefit they will have for you.

Exercise

Fitter. Stronger. Leaner.

Get the most out of your time. I will coach you through a personalised warm up, getting your body limber, ready and up to temperature for the coming workout. You will then go through a testing but rewarding workout, finishing in a cooling down and stretching routine to have you feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle the rest of your day. Your exercise session will be designed specifically to move you towards your end goal, and each one will be different to the next. No bodybuilding here! I focus on functional movements using equipment you feel comfortable with. We start with what you can do, and build on that.

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a coaching program?

I had just turned 60 and retired from work. I wanted to lose weight and improve my general fitness, and have a good lifestyle for a healthy retirement. I wanted a personal trainer, who would give me individual attention and devise a program appropriate to my needs.

What results have you achieved since starting?

I have lost weight and it is now steady. My general fitness has improved considerably. My muscles are more toned, and I have more flexibility and mobility than when I first started.

What do you like best about your program/having a trainer?

That the session is well-structured. The workout is challenging and, overtime, I can see and feel the benefits of the program that has been devised for me.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining my coaching?

Try it out and see how it goes. The coaching is very good. He is very patient, but you must be fully committed to succeed. He is very supportive and will help you reach your goals.

Colin

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a coaching program?

I had a very physical job as a plumber so didn't think I needed to go to the gym if I'm honest. But my doctor told me that I needed to start eating healthy and exercise. I didn't fancy the thought of eating dry chicken and salad for the rest of my life so needed to find a professional to help with it all.

What results have you achieved since starting?

I have lost weight in a good way. My shoulder and knee pain has almost all gone. Strength has shot up. My strength has got rid of my back pain as well.

What do you like best about your program/having a trainer?

That I don't have to think about what to do, I just show up and Tan takes care of the rest!

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining my coaching?

Sign up, you won't regret it.

Peter

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a coaching program?

I abhorred the thought of going to a gym and doing alien movements to get me sweaty and red-faced in front of strangers!

What results have you achieved since starting?

With Tan's guidance I was able to go from rank amateur who couldn't tell a dumbbell from a kettlebell, to being able to do a whole pull up by myself! I feel much more confident in myself and my appearance than I did at the start, my clothes fit better, I have even needed to go and buy some new clothes!

What do you like best about your program/having a trainer?

The guidance, making sure I am doing the movements safely and with minimal risk of injury. Also the fact that an hour whizzes by and I have achieved something I wouldn't have on my own.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining my coaching?

Tan has been absolutely fantastic! I would say give it a try, you probably won't look back!

Joseph

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a coaching program?

I have been lifting weights since I was 16, but some tiny consistent bad habits and old age crept up on me resulting in needing some surgery for my hip and knee. This made me realise that I didn't have a lot of variety to my health and fitness. It was quite rigid. Post surgery I needed professional help to get me back on track safely.

What results have you achieved since starting?

I am gaining strength back in my knee and hip and am more mobile and active, able to live a much better quality of life than most people my age.

What do you like best about your program/having a trainer?

Tan takes time to make sure that I am comfortable during the exercise. He does push me but in a way that I can cope with. Knowing I have a professional looking after my best interest puts my mind at ease.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining my coaching?

Give it a go, Tan is not a pushy person and there is never any pressure.

Alden

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a coaching program?

I was getting joint pains from my running sessions, and despite going to the GP nothing was working. Friends I run with suggested lifting weights but I didn't know where to start and so sought the services of a professional.

What results have you achieved since starting?

Joint pain reduced to almost nothing, and although I have put on some weight due to muscle my new strength has reduced my running times which has made me very happy!

What do you like best about your program/having a trainer?

Tan has a structure and long term plan for me, and I can see the benefit of it over the long term. I can focus on my running whilst Tan looks after everything else.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining my coaching?

Get off the fence and sign up. Tan knows his stuff, you are in good hands.
